Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly meme hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading, here are the rules:
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two "teaser" sentences from somewhere on the page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure what you choose to share doesn't give to much away, you don't want to ruin it for others!)
* Share the title & author, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teaser!
Synopsis:
Rapunzel’s tower is a satellite. She can’t let down her hair—or her guard.
In this third book in the bestselling Lunar Chronicles series, Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, with Scarlet and Wolf in tow. Together, they’re plotting to overthrow Queen Levana and her army.
Their best hope lies with Cress, who has been trapped on a satellite since childhood with only her netscreens as company. All that screen time has made Cress an excellent hacker—unfortunately, she’s just received orders from Levana to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice.
When a daring rescue goes awry, the group is separated. Cress finally has her freedom, but it comes at a high price. Meanwhile, Queen Levana will let nothing stop her marriage to Emperor Kai. Cress, Scarlet, and Cinder may not have signed up to save the world, but they may be the only ones who can. (Goodreads)

ReplyDeleteIt's really great, I love the new characters in this one...one downside to finishing this one up is having to wait anxiously for the next installment though! :)

ReplyDeleteThey are so addicting once you get started, and its definitely a worthwhile wait! I really think they just keep getting better, sadly I am nearing the end...which means quite the wait for the next installment in the series!

Love the idea for a dog bone rating system, that's so cute! Great blog name, by the way :)
DeleteI haven't read this book but I really like your teaser! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! The books are really great, if you haven't had a chance to read any of them yet, I'd definitely recommend trying the first book (Cinder). I wasn't sure about the series when I first heard about it, but they are a really fun,unique, and entertaining twist on the usual fairy tale retelling.
Deletehahah good one!
